Afghanistan defeated South Africa by 177 runs in the second ODI in Sharjah to clinch their first series win over a team ranked in ICC’s top five.
Afghanistan cricket team created history in Sharjah as Rahmanullah Gurbaz hit a superb century and Rashid Khan took five wickets in their first-ever ODI series win over South Africa after beating them 177 runs in the second ODI on Friday. This is also the first time Afghanistan defeated a team ranked in ICC’s top five. Gurbaz hit 105 as Afghanistan made 311-4 before the Proteas lost nine wickets for 61 runs to be bowled out for just 134 in the 35th over.
